Aneqdot Dancing Umbrella
A rain and sun umbrella created in collaboration with hand-woven artist and designer Fumi Hotta
Aneqdot comes from the Swedish word Anekdot, which means "a little story about it." The brand embodies our desire to cherish objects, the stories surrounding them, and the tales that emerge as we use them.
From the archives of Makita Shoten, we have arranged a design based on the traditional local technique of "hogushi weaving," and expressed the delicate faded look of the hogushi weaving technique in multicolored fabric. This is a delicate and stylish long umbrella for women.
The design, which exudes a natural lightness amidst its complexity, is also appealing in that the impression it gives varies dramatically depending on the color. It's a UV-resistant umbrella that can be used in both sunny and rainy weather, so it's also recommended as a parasol. Enjoy the fusion of Nordic and Japanese styles.
