Native Loose Feather Long Umbrella

Sale price¥19,800
Color:gray

A rain and sun umbrella with a native pattern created using traditional unraveling weaving techniques.

Even today, a small number of "hogushiori" weaving techniques are still practiced in the region. This weaving method requires great skill and effort, as the warp threads are temporarily woven and then painted, before being unraveled and woven into the final product. The faintness and unevenness that result from the unraveling process create a gentle texture and character.

The tasteful pattern is woven into the inside to avoid being too flashy. Its paleness is like that of a watercolor painting, giving it an appealing look. You can sense the overall unity, subtle differences in color, and traditional techniques. The various feathers, each painted in different sizes and colors, each create a different atmosphere, adding a stylish touch to this long umbrella.
