Stig L. FRUKTLADA
Stig Lindberg Fructrade folding umbrella
A masterpiece created by one of Scandinavia's most renowned designers has been made into a rain and sun umbrella.
A collaboration between Stig Lindberg, Sweden's greatest post-war creator, and Makita Shoten, a textile factory specializing in umbrella fabrics and boasting Japan's top technical skills, has resulted in a wonderful folding umbrella that is fun, joyful, and exciting to wear on rainy days as well as sunny days.
The textile design "FRUKTLADA," created in 1956, means "fruit" and "box" in Swedish. As the name suggests, the fruit is beautifully arranged across the umbrella, like a box of fruit, yet with a playful touch. The design and color range are suitable for adults and give a sophisticated impression.
It is a type that can be used in both sunny and rainy weather and is UV-resistant, so it is also recommended as an elegant and stylish parasol.
