We will be announcing new rain gear at the 81st Tokyo International Gift Show!
Makita Shoten Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nishikatsura-cho, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture, Representative Director: Norio Makita)
Japan's largest international trade fair for personal gifts and household goods: the 81st Tokyo International Gift Show Spring 2016
At the event, Makita Shoten will be releasing a collaboration item called "fusion," made using fabrics from Makita Shoten and "frankygrow," a leading apparel brand from Yamanashi.
As we celebrate our 150th anniversary this year, we are launching a new initiative, "fusion," a line of rain gear based on the umbrella and clothing fabric making that Makita Shoten has cultivated over the years, with design supervision by frankygrow, an apparel brand from Yamanashi Prefecture that is active worldwide.
The new rain goods, "fusion," are made using fabric that expresses frankygrow's concept of "simple pop" design using the cut jacquard technique that Makita Shoten specializes in, and are treated with waterproof and water-repellent processing that they have developed through the production of umbrella fabric.
The fabric is then made into umbrellas, rain ponchos, and bags that parents and children can enjoy together.
Enjoy these rain gear, created through a combination of fabric texture and design.
