Starting April 29th, we will be holding an event with our friends at Yamanashi Hataori Travel at Shikisaido Aritama Main Store in Hamamatsu!
The Gunnai textile production area spans Fujiyoshida City and Nishikatsura Town at the foot of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture. Blessed with the spring waters of Mount Fuji, the area has fostered a textile culture since the Edo period. Continuing these traditions and techniques, the town still echoes with the sounds of weaving, with energetic weavers weaving unique fabrics. We bring you the proud products created by these weavers!
