"Komorebi" was featured in the Yomiuri Shimbun

The May 27th (Sat) morning edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun, Yamanashi edition, features a feature on Professor Toyoura (Yamanashi University), who developed the patented technology used in the new product "Komorebi." Komorebi is also featured in the article. The patented technology was jointly applied for by Professor Toyoura and others at Yamanashi University, along with Yamanashi Prefecture (Fuji Technology Support Center researcher Igarashi). This technology makes it possible to express the natural gradation of sunlight filtering through the trees using jacquard (woven patterns) rather than printing. Image processing technology may be leading to improvements in jacquard technology, marking a new phase in the development of textile technology.
