Announcement of new product "Yatsugatake no Mori" @ Yatsugatake Club
Makita Shoten Co., Ltd. has developed a new product, "Yatsugatake no Mori," a rain and sun umbrella that depicts the morning, afternoon, and evening scenes of the Yatsugatake forests, using a multicolored jacquard weaving method. To commemorate the launch, the company will be exhibiting and selling the product at the Yatsugatake Club ( http://www.yatsugatake-club.com/ ), which is surrounded by beautiful fresh greenery.
* "Yatsugatake Forest" is a rain and sun umbrella that is designed with the image of the woods of the Yatsugatake Club in mind, and is woven in jacquard using various colored threads to express the changes over time.
The design incorporates plants representative of the Yatsugatake Club's woodland, such as hydrangea, rengeshoma, mountain azalea, and snowbell, and accents the wooden approach created by the Yagyu family.
Makita Shoten's specialty is depicting scenery across the triangular spaces of the umbrella, with the scenery seen in each space changing, making it feel like you are walking through the forests of Yatsugatake.
In response to a request from Yagyu Munesuke, president of Yatsugatake Club, whose events we have been exhibiting at for the past three years, to "carry the Yatsugatake Club around," Makita Shoten's designers carefully considered how to express the beautiful scenery of a wooded area and came up with this design.
Last year, we announced "Komorebi," an umbrella that can be used in both rain and shine, using patented technology from Yamanashi Prefecture, and it was well received. This year, with the cooperation of the Yatsugatake Club, we will be announcing and exhibiting this new product for sale as follows.
