We will be exhibiting at SPIRAL, a cultural complex in Minami-Aoyama

We will be exhibiting at an event titled [MAKITA SHOTEN UMBRELLA & RAINGOODS COLLECTION 2019] at SPIRAL, a cultural complex in Minami-Aoyama!

We will be offering an early release of "repel.", a fabric product with fun tone-on-tone color combinations that was announced as a new product in February this year, as well as exhibiting and selling a wide variety of umbrellas made by Makita Shoten.

The new product "repel." is a portable rain gear that is a brushed-up version of the work of Kanna Ugai, who is currently active as a designer and collaborated with Makita Shoten for two years as part of the Fujiyama Textile Project, an industry-academia collaboration between students from Tokyo Zokei University and weavers in Yamanashi Prefecture. It was created to mark the 10th anniversary of the project.
