The Yomiuri Shimbun introduced Makita Shoten's efforts under the heading ``Traditional Fabrics, Craftsmanship Umbrellas.''
Many people are involved in various processes to make a single woven umbrella, and the process cannot be completed without any of the processes.
Not only do we want people to enjoy the fabrics and umbrellas, but we also hope that it will give them an opportunity to think about manufacturing in Japan as a textile producing region.

The Yamanashi Nichinichi Shimbun newspaper's ``Mountain Day and I'' article states that reporting on the mountain day is connected to promoting the appeal of local industry.
