~Reason for opening~
Yamanashi Prefecture has long been known as a textile production area.
In particular, the area that includes Nishikatsura Town, where Makita Shoten is located, Fujiyoshida City, and Tsuru County is called "Gunnai." The textiles produced in this region are known as "Gunnai textiles" and are highly acclaimed for their beauty, high quality, and technical expertise.
In order to help more people learn about this production area and its textiles, we have decided to open an official store on Rakuten Market, one of Japan's largest e-commerce malls.
Through Makita Shoten's products, customers across Japan will have more opportunities to come into contact with textiles, while also helping to preserve traditional techniques.
