Makita Shoten's umbrellas have been selected as decorations for the Yamanashi Room on the cruise ship Asuka III!
Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Ltd., in collaboration with NYK Cruises Co., Ltd. and Anchor Ship Partners Co., Ltd., is participating in a new project, "ASUKA III meets 47 prefectures," on the cruise ship "Asuka III," which will be launched on July 20th of this year. The bank produced the "Yamanashi Room," a midship suite on the ship, and umbrellas from Makita Shoten were selected as one of the decorations!
The Yamanashi Room is decorated with " Umbrella of Yokohama ," a collaboration with a long-established Yokohama traditional scarf store.
" This is because the port of origin of the Asuka III is Yokohama.

In addition to the umbrellas from Makita Shoten, guests will be greeted with premium grape juice as a welcome drink, and decorative items such as "good luck postcards" made from handmade Japanese paper with crystals embedded in them, and large Inden pouches, as well as other Yamanashi Prefecture specialties.
"ASUKA III meets 47 prefectures" aims to realize regional revitalization by connecting people with people, people with regions, and regions with regions, while conveying the wonders of Japanese culture through cruises. Regional financial institutions and others are producing spaces that make use of the unique characteristics of each of the 47 prefectures. (From a Yamanashi Chuo Bank press release)
