Hata Fes (Hataorimachi Festival) will be held in the Shimoyoshida area of ​​Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture for two days on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th, 2025.

Makita Shoten will not only be selling popular umbrellas and sub-bags made from umbrella fabric, but will also be holding a workshop this year!

[Make your own original oriori bag!]
This is a workshop where you can make your own mini bag using colorful umbrella fabric from Makita Shoten.
This is an experiential program that allows you to have fun learning about the mechanisms of weaving while experiencing the charm of traditional textiles.
Anyone from small children to adults can easily participate in this crafting experience.

-First, choose four pieces of base fabric for the outside and inside.
It is made from the same fabric as Makita Shoten's popular item, the umbrella fabric sub-bag ♪ It's OK to use the same fabric or different fabrics!

-Draw guidelines on the outer fabric and cut freely within those boundaries!

- Insert fabric of your favorite color and pattern so that it alternates!

・Learn the basic structure of textiles through hands-on experience.
Imagine the color scheme and the finished product, and enjoy the excitement of making your own bag!

・It's OK if it's filled from top to bottom✨
Make two copies of this and hand them over to the staff!

・Our staff will sew and attach the accessories to complete your original mini bag!
