Initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions by utilizing renewable energy
Makita Shoten is promoting zero environmental impact by utilizing hydroelectric power and introducing solar power generation in its own offices.
Aiming to reduce environmental impact and realize a sustainable society, we have switched to 100% green electricity at our weaving factory from June 1, 2024. As a result, CO2 emissions (approximately 101 tons/year) associated with electricity consumption over the past two years will be reduced to zero, and an annual reduction of CO2 is expected.
Furthermore, we have installed in-house solar power generation in our offices, and are working to reduce CO2 emissions associated with electricity consumption in our daily operations.
